SMILE2 – THE SEQUEL

The sequel video, SMILE2, is out from one of our favorite charities, I’m Tired of. ..

For every $10 bracelet sold, ito… donates $5 to its matching cause. The matching cause for Animal Cruelty is Best Friends Animal Society. If your movement isn’t represented, put your mouse where your mouth is and vote for up to three new causes you think they should immortalize on a new bracelet.

The bracelets are 100% made in America. They are made of recycled tires (hence, the ‘I’m tired of…’ got it?) from our landfills (an American company has the patent to recycle used tires into sheet rubber) and recycled metal is used to make the metal bead.

Check them out and pass it on!

My Maine Monday

We started off by taking me to my Daycare in Maine. Boy, did my brain need Daycare after 24 hrs on the road and 3 days without play and exercise; I had a bad case of the zoomies. On the car ride to Daycare, Mister wanted to ‘play wookie’. He’s a morning boy; I’m not a morning girl. I’d be happy to just sleep until we get there, but not him. hooonooooo. He’s wide awake and ready to play (and chomp and chew on my lips, paws, legs, whatever!) in Pillow Palace I (that’s Auntie J’s car).

So Mom dropped me off at daycare, then Mister and Earl went to Earl’s vet. He needed to get his vaccinations so he could come back and go to daycare with me. Mister just went along for the ride. Mister didn’t understand why Earl had to go to someone else for his shots. Mister said, ‘My Mom’s a Vet. If I need a shot, she just gives it to me. How come your Mom’s not a Vet?’ Sometimes, he just doesn’t ‘get it’. ANYway, as I was saying, they went to Dr. Hanks’ clinic. Mister and Mom waited in the car; Mister mostly basked in the sun.

After Earl was done at Dr. Hanks’, they came back and dropped Earl off at daycare. I went a little whacko when I saw Mom come back!

They left again. I ran all along the fence to the very end when they were driving off. I missed them. …for about 5 seconds. Then, it was the best day EVER. I was careful to check on Earl throughout the day. It’s a job, but somebody’s gotta do it!

“Three Leg Dog”

We saw this linked on Twitter and loved it. For all you tripawds out there:

uh. …oh.

Nothing to see, Mom, move along.

Gita's report card

(Mom’s comment:   )

But I was the BEST behaved, nervous GSD ever. I swear! Ask Auntie Professor Dr. B.   And the paper isn’t wrinkled ’cause I tried to wad it up and stuff it in the couch so you wouldn’t see it. ..er nuthin’. Rilly.  I dent. (  )

I’m going to school!

No, REALLY! I’m rilly going to a school, today! My Auntie Dr. B teaches Vet tech students at some school and she asked me if I would go with her! I have to help her teach. Yeah, she needs my help. It’s prolly ’cause I’m so smart; I took a doggie IQ test. yeah. I’m going to go play at Daycare all day and then Auntie Dr. B. is going to pick me up and we’re going to her school.

Vet tech

( What Gita doesn’t know is. …she’s going to be the demo dog for practicing lateral restraint, giving a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, etc. She reeeally doesn’t like baths. oy. And her Auntie Dr. B needs ..um… a dog ‘not so well behaved’ in these situations; a bit more of a challenge for her students is what she’s looking for. She also needed a bigger dog.  Ahem. I assure you, she’s found a good ‘lab specimen’.  Should be interesting to hear the details. …said Gita’s mum. )

Buckethead

I had my teef cleaned a few days ago. I started licking at my catheter site and Mom kept telling me ‘NO’….like, don’t do that. I can’t help it. It’s all i-t-c-h-y and weird feeling. So, I would slink off where she couldn’t see me and lick like crazy at it. I licked it during the night, too. She looked at it yesterday morning and said if I didn’t stop, she was gonna take me to Auntie Dr. B and make me wear an E collar. I told her I didn’t know what that was, but it didn’t sound like something I’d like. She said it would be like wearing a bucket on my head. I didn’t know what that was either, but I did know it didn’t make the whole thing sound any more appealing. So, when we got up, this morning, she said ‘Hm…this isn’t good. It looks a little angry. Think we’ll be going to see your Auntie Dr. B. at noon.’ That’s when I said, ‘UH OH’. She told me I could only go to Daycare for half of the day. MAN!

How did she know I was lickin’ it in the night?? She was asleep! Sometimes, Moms are scary like that. They know stuff! So, anyway, sure ‘nough. She picked me up at Daycare at noon and we went the clinic and Auntie Dr. B put this THING on my head. oof. DIDN’T LIKE IT. She took it right off. Phew! Everything was fine until Mom came home from work. I ate dinner and played some ball. Had my Sam Yam and *P O P*. This THING was on my HEAD. I. …I…I can’t move now! I can’t lift my head. I can’t walk. I just kinda flail about on the floor and then give up. It’s no use. I think I’m paralyzed. : ( wt. ….?!
